The Lansing for Cesar E. Chavez are once again holding their annual dinner and dance on Saturday, March 30, 2019. With guest speaker Dr. Jose A. Flores who sits on the Grand Rapids School Board and also owns La Voz Publication which in my humble opinion is one of the best Latino publications in the State.
The evening starts with dinner and a silent auction right before Dr. Flores speaks to what is almost always a packed house at the Local 652 UAW Union Hall. The Committee then recognizes area high school students with scholarships from the Cesar E. Chavez Essay Competition. Then Tejano Sound Band takes the stage from about 8pm to 12midnight.
