NSTEAM: Natives in Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics at MSU April 10-12, 2026

NSTEAM 2026 Application is OPEN. For 9th-12th Graders who are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics or who just want to visit MSU and Learn More about STEAM. The Native American Institute in collaboration with the Office of University Outreach and Engagement and the MSU Science Festival invites 20 Native students (9th -12th Grade) to the campus of Michigan State University to participate in STEAM related programming Friday, April 10th through Sunday, April 12th.

The event is designed to expose Native youth in the 9th-12th grades to hands on sessions focused on science and technology. The event includes the opportunity to attend the MSU’s Science Festival!

Please register no later than Friday, March 6, 2026. NOTE: This is an overnight event so a chaperone is required to attend with you. This can be a parent, grand parent, guardian, or tribal educator (background check required for non-family members).

THIS IS A FREE EVENT! Lodging and meals are included but you must provide transportation to the MSU campus.
