“¡Juntos, Todo es Posible!” (Together, all things are possible!) will be the theme for this year’s Cesar E. Chavez celebration held annually by the Lansing Community College. This will be an afternoon of celebrating Cesar Chavez’ legacy through an engaging call to action, performances, food, and more!
Set to take place Tuesday, March 26th 3pm – 4pm inside the Cesar Chavez Learning Center, Arts & Sciences Building 1313 located on the Campus of Lansing Community College. There is no registration necessary and open to the community with no cost to attend.
The Cesar Chavez Learning Center’s LUCERO program activities are free and open to all registered LCC students. Programming is focused on embracing Latino students, connecting them to the LCC community and equipping them excel through:
- Mentorship
- Cultural Celebrations
- Leadership Opportunities
- Academic Support
- Skill Development
Moreover, LUCERO is a dedicated support program committed to:
- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment, particularly for students of color, with a specific focus on Latino students;
- Creating a strong and positive sense of community among Latino students;
- Celebrating and embracing the rich cultural diversity within the Latino community; and
- Providing opportunities for students to build strong connections with each other and with LCC, enabling them to connect and engage meaningfully within the broader college community.
