We are thrilled to be hosting Drs. Yomaira Figueroa-Vásquez and Jorell Meléndez-Badillo on campus to offer their important insight. We are just as thrilled to announce that we will also be hosting one our own in Dr. Delia Fernandez-Jones, whose work merges storytelling with historical analysis to recapture the placemaking practices that Mexicans, Tejanos, and Puerto Ricans use, with an often specific foci on Michigan.
We can’t wait to host this amazing event about the challenges we face in Latine storytelling and where might be some directions we go from here.
