Cafecito Caliente and Title Sponsor Lake Trust Credit Union are proud to announce Lucianna Solis as the 2026 Cafecito Caliente Heart of the City recipient. The Heart of the City Award is given in recognition of those who have made a significant contribution to the Mid-Michigan area through inspiration, spirit, and excellent leadership. They’re dreamers, they’re visionaries, developers, creators, leaders, and partners. The bottom line is they are the heart and soul of this community and represent the Hispanic Latino Community at its best. For the year of 2026, that person is Lucianna Solis.
Lucianna is a proud Lansing native with a passion for giving back to the community that once helped her through difficult times. As a single mother who experienced hardship, including food insecurity, she understands firsthand the importance of access to healthy food and supportive resources. That experience inspired her work with the Greater Lansing Food Bank and continues to shape her commitment to serving others. As the Mayor’s Community Relations/Faith Base Manager, Lucianna works alongside nonprofits and community organizations that support Lansing residents, including the City’s mobile food distribution initiative. Giving back to Lansing is personal for Lucianna because she remembers what it meant to receive support when she needed it most.
