The Labor Council for Latin American Advancement (LCLAA) is the leading national organization for Latino(a) workers and their families. LCLAA was born in 1972 out of the need to educate, organize and mobilize Latinos in the labor movement and has expanded its influence to organize Latinos in an effort to impact workers’ rights and their influence in the political process. LCLAA represents the interest of more than 2 million Latino workers in the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), The Change to Win Federation, Independent Unions and all its membership.

The Lansing Latino Health Alliance is an organization founded in 2003 to reduce health disparities and inequities and to improve the health status of Latinos residing in the greater Lansing area.

The Alliance defines health as more than the absence of disease. We believe health encompasses environments and contexts that lead to and promote healthy growth and development and that health cannot be separated from its social and cultural influences.

LBCM aims to foster a strong Latino community where businesses can connect, collaborate, and grow.

The purpose of LLEAD is to provide the vehicle whereby local communities can coordinate design, develop and advocate for the creation of solutions to overcome their societal challenges in the areas of civil and human rights, healthcare, education, employment, social economic status, housing, immigration rights and civil engagement, etc.
