The Latin Softball League is in the beginning stages of the 2024 season and is looking for teams to register their players. While a returning teams may have their rosters already in place, most teams could use 3-4 players so there are plenty of opportunities to join a team. The league also has openings for substitute players that do not want to commit to a full season but would still like to either gain some experience or just fill in from time to time.
The league is considered a recreational league which means it’s family friendly and a fun league. That said, it is competitive, and players should know the basics of softball. Once upon a time, there was once a couple dozen Latin leagues dating back to the 1940’s. The history of the league goes back to 1948 and is the only Latin league in the State of Michigan outside of Detroit that has survived.
