The Running La Vida Loca Race Series (RLVL) has revealed the Cinco de Mayo 5k Run/Walk medal for the Saturday, May 7, 2022, Run/Walk. Scheduled for 9:00am at Maguire Park on Lansing’s Southside, Mariachi’s are highlighted on the medal. Filled with glitter and the love of Mariachi’s, the medal will no doubt be one you can be proud to add to your collection!
The event promises to be entertaining from pre-race to post race. With Aurelia Cisneros from Release Fitness once again helping participants to warm up before the race, come early and enjoy the morning by having Aurelia guide you in proper techniques.
New this year will be the Lansing Community College Massage students. They will be there to give free 15 minute massages to runners, walkers, spectators, race day volunteers – anyone who wants one! They have shown up over the years at different events and are very popular with event goers.
The race will be in person at Maguire Park but if you can’t make it, but still want to the shirt (soon to be revealed) and medal, you can sign up for the Virtual 5k. This can be done at your convenience at the park, track, or even your treadmill.
