What: Meeting for Parents and Students Concerning the Latino Community

The focus of this meeting will be to have a conversation on what the Latino community feels it needs for its families succeed academically within the Lansing School District. Representatives from the Lansing School District will be on hand to listen to ideas and take questions from parents and students.
The Chicano Latino Advisory Committee was formed in 1972 by the Lansing School District to advise the Lansing School Board of Education on issues that deal with the Latino Community. It continues to this day in its 47th year as a resource and as an voice for Latino parents and Latino students alike.
All interested parents, students and community members are welcome to attend. Come and learn and ask questions as we will be talking about the Lansing School District and its Pathway Promise. Also, folks from Exito Educativo will be available to talk about their program which educates students on what is needed to attend college. Last but not least, the Early Childhood Education and Adult Education Programs will be represented.
