Each year, the Michigan State University, Greater Lansing, and East Lansing communities come together to honor the life and work of labor leaders and civil rights activists César E. Chávez and Dolores Huerta with commemorative celebration.
To kick off this year’s celebration, we are acknowledging the 70th Anniversary of the“The Longoria Affair” with a special screening of the documentary in the Auditorium, at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center. We will follow the documentary with a free community luncheon (registration is required) and the Cesar Chavez Community Leadership Awards.
The event is open to anyone and is free but registration is required.
Here is the info for Friday’s Chavez/Huerta Celebration. You will find the registration link to register for the luncheon. It is neccessary to register to have lunch.
