No Country for Old People will be shown at Urban Beat Tuesday, August 5, 2025. Doors open at 5:00pm; Networking at 5:30pm; 6:00pm film screening with Q & A at 7:15pm. Free admission. Urban Beat will have their menu available for those wishing to enjoy dinner as well.

The Ourspace 517 Juneteenth Weekend kicks off once again with Ourspace will bring together a panel of experts at 6:30pm in the Cadillac Room located at 1115 S. Washington Ave in Lansing, Michigan 48933.

Kick off the weekend with an insightful and transformative discussion exploring the intersections of the Eight Dimensions of Wellness, uncovering themes of wholeness and freedom. This annual seminar brings together community voices and changemakers for thought-provoking conversations, actionable insights, and networking in a space dedicated to Black empowerment and holistic well-being.

Headlining the celebration is none other than BJ the Chicago Kid, the soulful voice of a generation, blending neo-soul and R&B straight from his hometown of Chicago. The seven time Grammy nominated artist will perform live on Saturday, June 21, 2025 as Ourspace 517 continues to bring in talent from around the country.

Juneteenth will take place from 3:30pm to 10:00pm right in REO TOWN located on South Washington Ave in Lansing, Michigan.

With vendors, a special “Kids Zone”, food trucks along with featured artists like Sheefy McFly, Kira Daffin, Jess Ivey and Lansing’s own MikyyAustin, the Juneteeth Festival will provide some great entertainment for the entire family!
