The documentary “American Homeboy” will be shown at the Lansing Shuffle during Chicano Week on Friday, February 2, 2024, beginning at 6:00pm. Brought to you by Nuestra Cultura Multimedia Productions, the film highlights Pachuco and Cholo culture sprouted from American soil in response to social alienation, wartime sentiment, and discriminatory government policies, only to revolutionize pop culture.
The Director Brandon Loren Maxwell will be on hand and will offer a Q & A immediately after the film. American Homeboy will be shown in Flint, Lansing, Ann Arbor and Detroit with an After Party following the Detroit showing.
